Engraving & Carigram

Every piece that takes a Carigram is gathered at the foot of this page. In the shop, the small line above a piece’s name tells you what it begins with — a date, your words, two letters — or that a Carigram is there if you like.

Depending on the piece, you may choose initials, words, names, dates, places, metal combinations, engraving or other personal details. The choices available for each design are shown directly on its product page.

Engraving & Carigram

Carigram is our laser-engraving service — precise lettering, dates, coordinates and artwork cut into the metal. It is distinct from The Entwined, whose initials are intertwined by hand at the bench rather than engraved.

Seeing it before you order

For pieces with our online visualizer, you can preview your selections before placing your order. The preview shows composition, scale and placement. Because your finished piece is made and finished by hand, subtle differences from the digital rendering are natural.

Proofs

Standard personalization shown in the visualizer does not require a separate proof. For Carigram engraving and other personalization where the exact characters matter, you’ll be asked to confirm what will be engraved before your order is finalized. If our atelier needs clarification, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

Character limits

Each Cœura design has its own engraving field and typographic limits. The configurator will show and enforce the available space for the piece you are creating. We would rather make an inscription beautifully than make it smaller simply to fit more words.

Back engraving

On many designs, yes. When back engraving is available you’ll see the option on the product page. Available styles and character limits vary with the size and shape of the piece.

Dates, coordinates & places

Yes, wherever the selected engraving style permits it. Dates, coordinates, places, initials and short inscriptions are some of the ways a Cœura piece can mark a moment.

Artwork & handwriting

Selected pieces allow artwork-based engraving. When available, the option and upload requirements appear on the product page. We review artwork before production and will contact you if an adjustment is needed for a successful engraving.

Why your engraving may differ from the preview

The preview is digital; your engraving is physical. Scale, the shape of the object, the character of the letterform and the hand-finishing of the metal can all create subtle differences. We preserve legibility and the integrity of the design rather than mechanically forcing a digital image onto the piece.
