The Entwined Crest Ring

Two letters, cast as one. The house piece.

A signet was how a person signed. Pressed into wax, it stood in for the hand and the house behind it, and it was worn where it could be used — on the finger, ready. The Crest Ring keeps that office and refines it to two letters. Your initials, interlaced into a single monogram and cast in relief against a matte ground of the opposite metal — gold on silver, or silver on gold — so the letters take the light first and read at a distance. The face is a soft square, hand-planished at the bezel. The shank is softly rounded and solid through, with the weight a ring like this should have.

Worn daily, it becomes what signets always became: the thing people know you by.

Your letters

Two initials, chosen when you order. The monogram is drawn from the house alphabet and cast for your pair — worked at the bench, never applied to a blank. No two crests share a mould.

Inside

The shank carries the hallmark and, if you like, a line of your own — a name, a date, a few words — where only the wearer knows. Or left plain until there is an occasion.
