Cœura makes jewelry for those things.
Based in Santa Barbara and made to order by artisans in Bali, we create personal pieces in sterling silver and 18K gold vermeil. Each begins with an invitation: bring something of your life to the making.
Two letters become one form. A date becomes a moon. A few words find their place inside a ring. A photograph is held close, known only to the person wearing it.

We believe a beautiful object can help us recognize what matters. It can say I see you. It can mark a beginning, honor someone we love, or remind us of a decision we made quietly, for ourselves.
Some pieces hold a story we want to tell. Others hold something we choose to keep private. There is room for both.

A new beginning, with deep roots.
Cœura was founded by Patti Pagliei, the creator of Waxing Poetic, after twenty-five years of making jewelry and listening to what people found in it.
Again and again, an object became part of a life. A gift carried words someone struggled to say. A piece worn every day gathered meaning through the wearing.
Cœura grew from that understanding, and from a desire to work more closely with what felt essential: considered forms, personal expression, and the people whose hands make it possible.
Our longstanding relationships with artisans in Bali are at the heart of the house. Their skill lives in the curve of a band, the meeting of two letters, the finish beneath your thumb. The care continues in places you may be the only person to see.

We work to order, giving each piece its place in the making. We choose this pace because we want to make thoughtfully, with attention to the material, the maker, and the person who will wear it.
Our hope is that your piece becomes familiar. Something you reach for without thinking. Something that gathers the marks of your days and, over time, becomes inseparable from them.
